Homeward Bound!

“Home, where my thought's escaping
Home, where my music's playing
Home, where my love lies waiting
Silently for me...”

Nobody but that genius could’ve put it so well huh?

A Hunters update – We close on the 14th of October! I’m so excited about the new home that my recent dreams are all set in those rooms! New carpets to be chosen, curtains to be picked, kitchen gadgets to buy, in short all that money to be spent! Now there are so many things wrong with the last bit of that last sentence, I can’t even begin. But anyway, we bid goodbye to the city and head to the suburbs next month. It’s exciting and daunting. As we sign our names on the 100 dotted lines, I recall that I know this feeling, in fact it’s bigger and scarier cousin had stricken a long time ago. At that time, I fought it successfully, and ended up a “Missus”. The fear of commitment never really leaves us, does it? We just have to fight it each time based on the premise of what lies ahead. And this time it’s more bedrooms, more trees, more space, more light. More light in our lives. Figuratively too.

Oh by the way, we are still not on subject B.

cool - does suburb mean Cambridge, by any chance? ;)

I personally prefer being out of the city as such - though its a close distinction for me. As you said - more trees, more space and more light. All the best!

No Manan...we're headed a bit South. I look forward to driving with my eyes almost closed again. My stint in Boston city crippled all my car activities....like doing my mascara/lipstick, returning all my calls etc.etc...Suburbia, here we come!

Utterly true.

* waits in salivatory anticipation of sauteed/simmered subject B, hopes to finally learn how to cook *

Of all the suburban dreams

So when r u warming up the house :) ..saute or simmer ? ..ok bad joke :|. Congrats Gabby :)..its a great occasion to celebrate.

I personally prefer living in the suburbs. Downtown life can be good but like you said there won't be much car activity (by activity I mean driving! and
not lipsticking)

My stint in Boston city crippled all my car activities....like doing my mascara/lipstick, returning all my calls etc.etc

I hate hate hate people who do such stuff while driving !! I hate u Gabby :(.. I hate myself for fiddling with the music player at times :|.
These people freak out(at signals) when a big trailer is at a kissing distance behind the car..real close... and honks a 3124W stereo effect horn..that..that my dear will
bring them back to reality :).They throw all the make up stuff and start driving !!

THANKS EVERYBODY!

Anti - Who says we can't accomodate a blogger friend NOW?

Pingoo - Hate and all huh? There, I hate you too :)...Come now, in Chicago suburbs you don't really need to grip that wheel in a deathgrip and stare at the road unblinkingly!! So I learned to use my time effectively. Boston city in unforgiving tho!
