More than the physical change of seasons, nature is telling us that nothing is permanent, not even sorrow. Life is a continuous play of the good and the bad and that is why our philosophy asks us not to go after happiness since we should be equally ready to face unhappiness which is its other side, but rather we should go in search of bliss, of peace, of a stillness of the mind that is unaffected by the dualities of life.

Yes, being a northeastern myself, well a little farther west and a turn to the south by a nose hair, I too can appreciate what the seasons bring, especially after this really strange, strange winter! Beautiful view...
