Losing Ground

Six weeks after a baby is born, a lot of things change. With respect to the baby, we have gaze-holding, smoother arm movements and cooing. Stuff is on somewhat of a schedule (though the schedule might change every day). With respect to the Mom and Dad, well, the Mom can start exercising, Mom can go back to work and Mom and Dad can err...get started up again.

Usually, baby is better with meeting these milestones than Mom and Dad are. Mom is hoping going downstairs counts as exercise. Work...well she has a whole month of maternity leave left (yoo hoo). As for point 3, a lot is usually said about the mood, the energy, and an opportune time...but one of the main reasons I can best depict with this sketch. Yes, we have space issues.

Yeah he seems to have taken more space than you or Mr.G! BTW why's Mr.G's face stuffed into the pillow? Would you rather do that? :)

Lots of action here! I was thinking you would be quite busy with the maharaja!

lol at rhyncus... that didnt deter my grandparents though.

gabby remember the phrase- 'heard you are having an issue?'

remove word veri..hoping motherly love makes you feel like like honoring my wishes.

space issues
Bah! Excuses, excuses.
Three words - Living room floor.
If carpet - well & good. If hardwood or tile - just improvise!
Oh wait. There is a grandmom around, right! Aren't there some relatives around the country that she should be visiting??
Better get to it before the terrible twos.

Hi!
The bugger in between both of you is one of the best birth control methods known to man( and woman). Even if you dash of someplace else to coochie-coo you can bet Bugger will wake up and holler his head off:) Have fun with your baby, Gabby. They grow up real fast.

Very touching posts Gabby "you break down in a flood of tears because you realize that this is so much stronger than love. It’s like the foundation of all feelings, beyond description." i can relate to each n every feeling...including the space issues ;-)

BTW, wat have u named the maharaja? or u calling him that only? u have mentioned the time that he was born but not the date.. :)

And Congrats once again gabby & to mr. g & ... kissus to the lil maharaja and enjoy :)

1. Congrats! That birth post was aaah inspiring.

2. this is a 'ghar ghar ki baat' problem. Not to worry, it just grows bigger, pun intended.

3. Friendly (very experienced) advice: Move him now - imagine a 3-footer sleeping perpendicular to current posit. It hurts!

4. All of us turn sappy for a short time :-) post natals

5. mood-energy-opportune time - completely disjoint!
